La Peña City Church

At La Peña Church we believe we are a church of the New Testament (Act 2:43-47). We are a spirit-filled church that loves to worship God, loves to learn, and loves to see families come together. We foster a loving and accepting atmosphere where you can come as you.

Our mission is to love God, love Truth, love People, and love Life. We accomplish these through age-specific services, teaching the Word, training of leaders, communion in small groups, and serving the local community in practical ways. Go to Gallery

The Pastors

Rene & Ana Cristina Matus grew up in Tijuana, as the son and daughter of pastors and missionaries. They were married in 2003 and have three children, Rebekah, Rakehl, and Jacob.

They have served in full time ministry since 2006, first as directors of AMA youth center then also as youth pastors for La Peña City Church, and since 2014 as lead pastors.

Their desire as pastors is to see lives and families transformed by the power of the gospel. Likewise, their goals for the church are to be in constant growth and to connect with their community in activities that transform their society with the love of Christ.
